We hear the phrase “it takes a village,” but in the whirlwind of drop-offs, work, and bedtime routines, actually finding that village can feel impossible. But guess what? A ready-made community is likely right under your nose: your childcare center or preschool.

Here are a few easy, low-pressure ways to start building your own childcare support network:

1. Say Hello (Beyond the Quick Drop-Off) 👋

The morning rush is real, but if you can spare an extra minute or two, try to engage with other parents or caregivers.

• Keep it Simple: A simple group chat (like a group text or a WhatsApp group) for the class or age group is a lifesaver for quickly sharing reminders about picture day, checking on center closures, or asking for recommendations (like pediatricians or kid-friendly restaurants).
• Focus on Logistics: Keep the chat focused on school-related logistics and helpful, supportive chatter to keep it positive and useful.
